We are currently seeking a Document Control Specialist in Houston, TX for our client engaged in hydrocarbon explorations and petrochemical.
The Document Control Specialist will work with a team of document controllers for a data reconciliation and migration effort. This person will coordinate with company personnel to identify documentation to migrate to a new electronic document management system, reconcile native versions of documents to pdf renderings, validate the documentation and associated metadata, notate missing information such as tag numbers or equipment classes as needed, create bulk loaders, test load to staging environment and promote to a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with onsite document control and management personnel to identify documentation for migration effort.
Validate the quality of the documentation.
Reconciliation of master versions of documents with pdf renderings.
Provide oversight of data reconciliation activities.
Communicate with project leadership, project team members, onsite document control and management personnel to achieve project deliverables.
Ensure work is being performed within project guidelines.
Prepare project status reports.
Experience and Certification
Minimum 5-7 years of document control experience in Oil & Gas Engineering industry with a primary focus on facilities and operations technical documentation.
Three years of experience managing technical data management projects leading to successful delivery.
Experience directing personnel and communicating with multiple levels of leadership and across business functions.
Experience and working knowledge of SharePoint and other Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) – Open Text to McLaren
Must be proficient with full MS Office application suite, especially Excel.
