Position Summary

The Dock Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to oversee the daily activities related to the receiving and shipping docks. This role ensures the efficient and timely handling of goods, maintains safety standards, and coordinates with various departments in a manner that aligns with company core values and organizational goals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading Logistics and Direct-to-Consumer associates, ensuring daily efficiency, aligning tasks to ensure smooth operations, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Resourcefully utilize available labor to successfully complete daily objectives by allocating tasks based on skill set, shipping volume, and dock capacity.
  • Supervise the preparation and loading of outbound shipments to meet Dollamur’s quality standards. Ensure all goods are accurately packed, labeled and documented.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials and products to prevent damage.
  • Oversee the unloading of incoming shipments, ensuring accurate receipt and inspection of goods, proper storage and organization of received items, and the maintenance of accurate records.
  • Monitor the progress of work in progress, identify and address bottlenecks, and coordinate with operations teams to ensure that WIP aligns with overall production and shipping goals.
  • Acts as liaison between the dock, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and timely shipments.
  • Quickly address and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies promptly and with a high level of professionalism.
  • Ensure all relevant data is accurately recorded in the ERP system and strive for clear visibility across dock operations and records.
  • Collaborate with Logistics Management on continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and proper levels of inventory and non-inventory items, manage the storage and organization of materials, assist in periodic physical inventory counts, and report on inventory discrepancies as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of any quality issues to the quality team, including detailed documentation and photographic evidence as necessary.
  • Act as point of contact between the logistics department and floor staff in production and quality to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicate effectively with logistics associates, providing clear instructions for dock activities, performance, and improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Qualifications & Competencies

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in dock leadership/ supervision, or a similar role in an manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in using ERP, WMS, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Forklift certification and familiarity with warehouse equipment required.


Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities

  • Understanding of dock operations, including loading and unloading processes, freight handling, and shipment documentation.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey instructions clearly and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, informed decision to resolve operational issues.
  • Must be available on weekends to manage his/her team when required
  • Fluent in Spanish a big plus


Work Environment

  • Job entails almost exclusively working in an ambient temperature manufacturing or warehouse environment. Sometime will be spent working in office environment where hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various office equipment.
  • Exposure to forklift traffic, sharp tools & objects, moving mechanical parts, high temperature equipment and noise pollution.
  • Physical requirements to perform this job include lifting up-to 100 lbs. with assistance, reaching, standing, kneeling, bending, and crouching. Must use eyes to focus and hands to operate equipment and tools.
  • Must comply with all PPE, including but not limited to gloves and safety glasses as required.
