Summary/Objective Manages merchandising operations of a specific division within the organization. Develop objectives and processes to implement the merchandising and pricing initiatives of your division. This includes vetting and selecting new vendors and product lines, and determining pricing and margins as well as the system setup and maintenance on these lines. Reviews and evaluates customer demand and sales trends, generates reports, analyzes financial performance, determines opportunities for product promotions. Supervises subordinate staff, provides corresponding trainings.

As Division Manager, you will be responsible for all product lines, procurement, inventory optimization and price structuring of your assigned division within the corporation. This includes increasing the profitability of existing products to procurement of new products for the company.
You will build the division with products from existing vendors and develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with vendors, customers and support staff. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company and work with the entire management team to implement the corporate goals. You will work with vendors, dealers, warehouse personnel, transportation, accounting, support staff and end users.
You will work with the marketing department to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external educator for your product offering, many times working with the sales channel and key customers.
Responsible for managing all price strategy, product issues, and sales goals throughout the vendor lifecycle while staying within the current target customer base.
Be able to promote a team environment that extends out across all departments of the company, vendors, and customers.
Responsible for the division Buyer's professionalism, performance with in the division and meeting corporate goals and policies.
Responsible for inventory levels are consistent with the division goals while maintaining a minimum 98% fill rate on stock A & B items.
Responsible for the Product setup and maintenance for all division vendor lists to ensure all information is accurate and updated in a timely manner, including cost, margin, sell price, customer tiered pricing, and promotional pricing for warehouse and dropship programs.
Responsible for all bill of materials (BOM) (if applicable) being accurate and updated in a timely manner.
Solely responsible for the organization of monthly promotions, bookings, web site and show program information required by the marketing department.
Plan and prepare all Fall Show programs by vendor and work with all Divisions to plan and set up Prince booths at show. Attend and staff booth for Show weekend annually.
Direct and oversee all vendor communications to insure the best corporate and vendor working relationship possible to create a true team environment with our vendors. Perform vendor evaluations at least annually.
Create a system to prevent, reduce and cycle thru the slow-moving inventory.

Must be able to supervise a small staff including 1 or more Buyers or Merchandising Assistants.
Work Environment
There are no hazards in performing this position. Some heavy lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. This position works from one of our office locations with opportunity to work remotely at home.
Physical Demands
The employee is required to sit for long periods of time. This position may require some heavy lifting.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Full-time salaried position = 40+ hours per week. Hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend work is required.
Travel
This position requires occasional travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America.
Education And Experience
Proficient at Microsoft Office programs with an in-depth knowledge in Microsoft Excel required.
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Procurement, Finance or related field preferred or equivalent experience of 3+ or more years.
