Division Manager: Rock/Pop Music - Remote US
Ribo Music (RM) is a company dedicated to empowering emerging musical artists by providing comprehensive resources and opportunities to connect with larger audiences. We offer an integrated package for new artists, encompassing streaming, music and merchandise sales, radio play, promotion, show bookings, crowdfunding, and hands-on assistance, all under one roof. Our "white glove" service ensures artists maximize the benefits of the RM platform, promotion, and audience growth strategies.
Who We Are Looking For:
Someone who has demonstrated years of experience in the music industry in the genre of Rock, Pop, etc. and is a proponent of independent artists and musicians. This person should have several years of experience working in/with music business, A&R, labels, and artist promotion. Must have demonstrated success leading and building teams - remote experience with this is preferred. Must have excellent communication and business relationship skills; should also have a good network and contacts with others in the music industry.

All team members at this stage are brought on through contract and have the ability to move to full-time as the business progresses. You will also be able to open voice your thoughts and ideas on what other ways Ribo can progress to make our product the #1 source for independent artists.

About the Role:
As the Division Manager of Rock/Pop at Ribo Music, you will hold a senior leadership position, reporting to the VP of Music Operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing a dedicated team, implementing, and developing strategies for artists within the Rock/Pop Genre, and covering digital marketing, social media, bookings, videos, podcasts, and technical assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Train, lead, and manage a team consisting of Artist Acquisition specialists, Artist Development Reps, Social Media Marketing Specialists, Booking Agents, and other experts.
- Develop and communicate departmental goals with measurable metrics in alignment with overall organizational objectives.
- Work closely with the VP of Music Operations, VP of Operations, Marketing Director, and HR Director to contribute to the overall success and branding of the Genre within RM.
- Collaborate in creating and producing the genre-based Ribo Radio show featuring artists exclusively from the RM platform.
- Evaluate and approve new artist recommendations from Artist Acquisition specialists.
- Contribute to social media messaging specific to the Rock/Pop Genre.
- Compile and present monthly reports to the VP of Operations, and VP of Music offering insights into key metrics and highlighting achievements and areas for improvement within the Rock/Pop department.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in A&R, Artist Marketing, Radio Promo, Publishing, Distribution, and/or Artist Management at a label or digital music company.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; substantial music industry experience is a must..
- Up-to-date working knowledge of Rock/Pop music genres, artists, and social media platforms.
- Connections with industry contacts such as Artist Managers, Producers, Talent Agents, etc., specific to the Genre.
- Previous corporate management experience is a plus.
