Division Manager

My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sewer Division Manager to lead and oversee their Sewer Projects in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in heavy civil construction, a proven track record of leadership, and a passion for driving operational excellence. This role involves managing multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and sustain relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Outline work plans and assign duties and responsibilities to project staff.
• Review status reports and modify schedules or plans as required.
• Prepare and review project reports for management and clients.
• Resolve project issues and escalate as necessary.
• Promote and ensure adherence to all safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Manage contracts from initial conversations through final project close-out.
• Coordinate project activities to ensure they progress on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate with government regulatory agencies as needed.
• Lead the RFP process and develop bid proposals.
• Perform estimating work and review bid requirements thoroughly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in sanitary, water, and storm sewer work.
• Experience in estimating sewer work.
• Proven track record of managing sewer crews and profit/loss for a division.
• Strong team management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage tight deadlines.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer software related to estimating and job cost tracking.
