Company Overview: Our client is rapidly growing and seeking a dynamic Division Accounting Manager to join the finance team and help drive our financial operations forward.


Position Overview: As the Division Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial activities of the Midwest Division. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, implementing financial policies and procedures, and providing strategic guidance to support the division's growth objectives. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the division.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of divisional budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to help management understand financial performance and make informed decisions.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard divisional assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Audit Preparation: Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring all audit requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Tax Compliance: Work closely with external tax advisors and ensure compliance with all local tax regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a small team of divisional accountants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience (6+ years) in accounting or finance roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
