Provide quality police service that will include maintaining a safe environment conducive to learning and contributing to the education process for students. Provide for the safety of students, faculty, staff, and the security of all district and campus property. Maintain the highest levels of integrity and professionalism for his/her chosen profession of law enforcement.
Major Responsibilities
Patrolling BISD property in a manner prescribed by the Chief of Police
Remains on call and respond as required while working a flexible schedule.
Responds to all alarms or requests for assistance as required.
Prepares and submits written reports of activities, incidents, and other security/safety violations or problems
Applies BISD security policies and procedures to situations involving acts of crime, alarm activations, and emergency situations
Works cooperatively with other school officials and law enforcement agencies
Inspects BISD property for compliance with security and safety requirements, makes recommendations to building administrators for improvements
Assists in conducting investigations and in providing written reports of incidents

Qualifications
Texas Peace Officer license issued by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE)
High school dipolma or equivilent
Clear and valid Texas driver license

BISD Professional Exempt Scale - Pay Grade 3; see www.bonhamisd.org (minimum salary $55,000)
BISD pays $275 towards medical premium
