Operate equipment used to amplify, record and display sound and images.
Operate lighting equipment and lighting boards.
Ability to create, read and explain lighting and sound plots.
Maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, including inventory and required repairs.
Communicates necessary repairs and maintenance to the Supervisor of Fine, Visual and Performing Arts
Communicates with staff and outside groups as necessary.
Ensures that equipment usage conforms to school district policies.
Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor of Fine, Visual and Performing Arts and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Knowledge of current lighting and sound trends, methods and applications.
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the field of music education and lighting and sound.
Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
Ability to organize and coordinate work.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and outside organizations.
Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
Qualifications Profile
Must have experience operating equipment used to amplify, record and display sound and images. Additionally, the individual must be familiar with programmable lighting boards as well as lighting techniques. Experience with the Ion ETC is preferred.
