Distribution Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement distribution systems and solutions.
• Analyze existing distribution networks and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including plans, specifications, and reports.
• Utilize engineering software and tools to perform analysis and design tasks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies as required.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation activities.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in distribution engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in distribution engineering or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of electrical distribution systems.
• Knowledge of joint construction and electric utility best practices.
• Understanding of Electric Distribution construction framing techniques, practices, and components.
• Proficient in using surveying equipment and gathering geospatial points.
• Ability to interpret property line boundaries, topographic surveys, construction staking, and collection of geospatial points.
• Utilization of electronic design/estimation software for cost estimates, labor, material units, work instructions, and construction sketches.
• Experience in researching and collecting property deed information for easement evaluation and property boundary definition.
• Familiarity with the NESC and its application to electric distribution line design.
