Job Description/Responsibilities
All employees of The Green River Distilling Company must have the following characteristics:
Appreciate and provide excellent customer service
Comfortable interacting daily with distillery customers as well as tour groups and guests in a hospitality focused environment

This Position Requires The Following
Supervise employees in the distillery
Assist as needed in New Fill and Aged Warehouse Departments
Assure enough manpower is on shift for start-up, shutdown and to run safely and efficiently, as required by distillery production scheduling.
Make recommendations for repairs of equipment and machinery, as needed, to maintain operations on schedule
Assist in recordkeeping on grain, mash, beer chemistry and other production and Q.C. records
Manage Departmental KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) ensuring targets are met:
Grind Times
Mash Cycle Times
Fermentation Age
Barrels Per Fermenter and Yield
Assist with developing and maintain Food Safety Certification Programs
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of each operator’s station with associated responsibilities: Granary, Mashing, Fermentation, Distillation, Re-Gauge, New Fill, Aged Warehouse
Work with Maintenance Department to manage scheduled Preventative Maintenance for distillation equipment
Maintain working knowledge of EOP's, fire protection system and emergency shut-off valves in order to handle emergencies as safely and efficiently as possible
Maintain work areas in a safe and orderly manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety regulations
Adheres to and promotes quality, environmental, health and safety as one of the organization's business priorities
Commitment for the Company’s ISO program including the quality and food safety of our products.
Maintain working knowledge of programmable controllers, computer screens and automated controls
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum of three years’ experience in distillery operations
Minimum of three years’ supervisory experience
Experience in team-based manufacturing environment
Must demonstrate a high level of initiative and problem solving abilities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally required to climb or balance.
Must be able to work in high temperature environment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis from floor to shoulder.
Must be able to physically navigate around a plant/production environment, including the repetitive climbing of stairs and elevated walkways.
Must not be afraid of working heights and be able to ascend and descend ladders and in aerial lifts, as appropriate.
Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
Continual amount of walking during a 12 hour shift.
