Unloading and storing deliveries
Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans
Operate the dishwasher
Safely use the chemicals used to wash and sanitize the dishes and your area
Receive and store food supplies
Clean, per approved sanitation and safety guidelines, all dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans and related food preparation/serving items and equipment
Operate dish washer per approved guidelines
Clean items my hand for example pots, pans, counters, walls in the prep area, and appliances
Monitor equipment (report to maintenance)
Inventory of cleaning supplies
Wash empty trash cans, buss tubs, sweep the kitchen, and perform other tasks related to cleanliness
May work directly with food, such as unloading and stocking deliveries. Chopping and peeling vegetables or assembling orders
Clean restroom if needed
Assist other colleagues when needed, prep cooks
Keep the dishwashing area clean and safe
Knowledge And Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prepared to receive on-the-job training
Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 50lbs.)
California food handler’s certificate
