Kinsa is recruiting for a: Vice President of Contract Manufacturing Sales
Location:Remote in the USA
Our client is a Chocolate confections manufacturer with multiple production facilities. The mission for the VP of Contract Manufacturing is to generate sales leads, initiate new customer contact, develop manufacturing solutions and close new business for the company’s Contract Manufacturing services.
The VP of Contract Manufacturing is an individual contributor role that will interact closely with the Director of Operations and CEO, as well as other departments to onboard new projects. This person will possess a thorough understanding of internal production processes and assist with problem-solving and solutions, as well as maintain on-going relationships with customers up to the highest seniority level in that organization.
The focus for this role will be to achieve optimum sales volume to fill the plants’ production capacity and to achieve margin results on all projects consistent with the business strategy. This person will also be responsible for efficiently and effectively servicing co-manufacturing projects.
Successful candidates MUST HAVE experience in selling Contract Manufacturing capabilities within the chocolate confection category.
Compensation/Benefits:
$170,000 – $230,000 base compensation range

Key Responsibilities and Goals:
Responsible for management of the entire sales cycle from prospecting through contract completion
Consistently generate leads via prospecting, networking, trade shows and referral efforts
Participate in marketing strategy development and implementation
Work as part of cross-functional team responsible for onboarding new projects, maintaining strong customer relationships and managing ongoing needs of customer
Focus to achieve optimum sales volume and margin results on all projects
Communicate sales activity and order negotiations to executive leadership
Competencies Needed for Success:
10+ years of experience in contract manufacturing / contract packaging sales in a chocolate confection manufacturing environment
5+ years of experience in the chocolate confection category
Experience in developing and closing brand new business leads, negotiating sales contracts
Self-motivated, takes initiative
Works well independently and with the leadership and operations teams
Must be permanently authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
