We are looking for a Director, The Women's Game to help lead the development and growth of our The Women's Game franchise. This candidate will develop and execute podcast and video production schedules, oversee social media content and coverage, coordinate with the partnership and marketing teams, and manage a growing team in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate has experience in lean, fast paced production environments, undying passion for women's soccer and the rampant fan culture.

Location: United States, Remote

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, maintain and oversee the content production calendar and actual production for all content platforms - audio, video and social, which serves as the platform for communication across all stakeholders - including talent, producers, editors, technical production teams etc.
  • Create and manage a detailed calendar of upcoming women’s football events in accordance with priority-driven coverage needs
  • Collaborate with content & editorial teams to ensure that digital content is optimized for each platform, and it is effectively reaching our target audience.
  • Work with the Partnerships team to create package productions ready to be taken to market to both active and prospective corporate partners.
  • Install, and continuously improve, best practices and standard procedures of the entire Women’s Game team to optimize day to day production.
  • Partner with script writers to develop interview scripts for guest talent interview recordings
  • Anticipate and respond to disruptions in the production process to eliminate any production delays
  • Manage and execute social media & match day coverage across global women’s soccer.
  • Oversee and organize a roster of freelance talent

What you need:

  • 5-10 years of digital content production experience and platform development, preferably in sports media and broadcasting
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally with a focus in film, journalism, media production, or alike
  • Ability to conduct and manage a team of people including talent, producers, and social media - organizing schedules, tasks, and internal communication
  • Expertise in the Adobe Suite, ideally Adobe Creative Cloud, Audition, Premier, and Photoshop
  • Availability to work a non traditional schedule, based around night, evening, and weekend matches and production needs
  • Deep understanding of all social media platforms, and the tools used to create and publish content
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to easily convey complex concepts to stakeholders
