Scope and Responsibilities

The Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading the North American recruitment strategy to attract and source talent for the organization in the US and Mexico. As the subject matter expert, you will collaborate with the senior leadership team, hiring managers, and HR Business Partners to understand the talent needs of the organization and ensure successful talent acquisition strategies are in place, aligned with the business strategy and goals, and are being successfully executed. This role reports to the VP, HR North America and plays a critical role in shaping and executing the human resource strategy and business growth.


Specific Responsibilities

Lead and execute the North American Talent Acquisition strategy and operations to attract, evaluate, and hire top talent. This includes managing process and team supporting full lifecycle recruiting across sourcing, interviewing, internal client management, candidate management, and close process, ensuring a positive candidate experience. • Manage and develop a Talent Acquisition team. Drive a culture of execution and metrics orientation within the team.

Build and maintain a talent pipeline strategy via the engagement of social media, job boards, networking events, and industry partnerships engaging potential candidates and past applicants for current and future hiring needs.

Leverage technology and ATS (iCIMS) and continue to develop TA process efficiencies, reducing administrative work and focusing on the candidate experience and talent pipelines. Lead change and process improvement initiatives that contribute to the improvement of Talent Acquisition results.

Ensure thorough candidate assessments to evaluate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and company values. Evaluate and refine sourcing and selection processes based on business objectives.

Advise and guide TA, HR, and hiring managers on recruitment best practices for interviewing and selection.

Drive key Talent Acquisition initiatives including diversity and inclusion, employee referrals, internship programs, career fairs, and employment branding.

Build and manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and vendors that support talent acquisition and related processes (LinkedIn, Indeed, iCIMS, SuccessFactors, etc.).

Develop and maintain key recruitment metrics, aligned to business goals, and regularly report to monitor progress, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement. • Ensure compliance with national and local employment laws and regulatory processes.

Stay informed of industry trends, market insights, and best practices, incorporating them into recruitment strategies as appropriate.


Professional Qualifications

The Director, Talent Acquisition will have at least ten years of progressive experience in HR and or Talent roles, demonstrating a deep understanding of various Talent Acquisition initiatives at all levels of a manufacturing organization. Additional professional experience should include:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial & Organizational Psychology, or related field

Success in building a strategic TA function and team

Experience with budgetary responsibility

5+ years experience leading talent acquisition teams

2+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a talent acquisition role

Up to 15% travel required, including potential international travel

Experience with iCIMS and SAP Success Factors is a plus
