Job Summary
The expected pay rate is $90k-$135k/year. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.
This role requires an innovative and experienced self-starter with the confidence and capability to guide and shape a forward-thinking safety assurance strategy with multiple facets. Through proactive stakeholder management, this leader is a true business partner to key departments to drive strategic safety practices across the enterprise creating a risk based approach to safety mitigation and compliance.
Employee may also be responsible for performing other job duties occasionally as assigned.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain a QHSE audit team and program ensuring oversight and validation of SOP compliance of all regional stations’ operational lines of business including Ground Handling, Fuel, and Cargo as applicable
Act as the lead Security representative for Swissport NOAM
Represent as Swissport NOAM’s Security subject matter expert during interactions with the Transportation Security Administration and customers
Oversee Environmental Program, Security Program, and data analysis processes
Assist in attaining and maintaining ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications
Be an agent for and lead cultural change within the business to ensure continuous improvement
Drive behavioral based safety initiatives through risk-based safety assurance and safety promotion programs
Implement and maintain programs, policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with company, client and governmental QHSE requirements
Prepare and maintain required QHSE records and reports
Lead auditor and facilitator of Quality performance improvements in the region
Audit company facilities and workforce in the assigned region
Keep abreast of current QHSE industry trends, new legislative impacts and customer requirements
Work with stations directly to ensure effectivity of corrective actions for all audit findings or external commitments
Communicate lessons learned from incidents or other opportunities for improvement by performing or facilitating:
non-conformity reports
Contributing factor analysis
Investigations of incidents, near misses and damages
Customer complaints
Key Performance Indicators
Develop and monitor safety performance and progress
Prepare and deliver professional presentations
Align with region leadership to develop QHSE Goals & Improvement plans both targeted and strategic
Performs other related duties as assigned
Key Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
In depth knowledge of TSA regulations as they apply to Ground Handling, Fueling, and Cargo operations
Extensive knowledge of current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Computer proficient, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications And Competencies
7+ years’ experience in QHSE leadership role
Bachelor’s Degree in QHSE disciplines preferred
Passenger Airline experience preferred
CSP, ASP, or CIH Certification preferred
ISO Lead Auditor preferred
Self-Starter, able to prioritize and organize targeted and strategic projects or assignments
Able to deal with a wide range of situations and personalities, good interpersonal skills
Able to work well under pressure and maintain a team spirit and cooperative attitude
Able to conduct public speaking, good presentation skills
Detail-oriented, excellent organizational and consistency skills
Open minded, committed to continual improvement
Ability to influence culture and be a change agent
Ability to move back and forth between the strategic and tactical aspects of the role, set priorities and produce results under challenging conditions with tight deadlines
Strong verbal, auditory & written communication skills

Ability to travel up to 50%, sometimes on short notice.
