Director, S&OP

MUST:

  • 5-10 years of S&OP experience
  • 5+ years as manager or senior manager of S&OP (will be managing a team of 2 managers and 2 analysts= 4 total)
  • Comfortable working for a private equity backed company
  • Strong with supply and demand planning both
  • Operations background with business mind
  • Knowledge of all aspects of S&OP: Demand side, sales side, capacity side, supply side, sourcing side.
  • Must have metrics on their resume
  • Experience building processes and making improvements to S&OP processes
  • Must have manufacturing experience
  • Data driven person, understands it how to interpret it, strong with Excel
  • Ability to work highly cross functional
  • Bachelors degree
  • Has used demand planning and supply planning tools, has worked with ERP systems as well
  • Ability to work within a company that is private equity run & Roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty

DAY TO DAY:

Our client, a private equity backed large manufacturer with offices across the US is hiring a Director of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) to lead their team. This role sits out of either: West Chester, PA, Franklin, TN, or Fort Worth, TX. It will be on a hybrid work from home schedule. Moreover, we are seeking an experienced Director who can "sit in the middle" of S&OP and will be working with finance, supply chain, business unit leaders, manufacturing, plants etc. We are looking for a hands on leader who build out processes from scratch, and this person will have the opportunity to set up SIOP processes and drive change. Right now a lot of processes in Supply Chain are manual and done in Excel, and the company is implementing new technologies and functions to help drive change. You will oversee Demand, Sales, Capacity, Supply, and Sourcing sides of the company in this role. This position has 4 people they will manage and will have 2 managers + to analysts in total.

  • Growth opportunities across the organization. IE the Leader of this team has moved from finance, to supply chain, to leading business units
  • Putting in a demand planning tool- Atlas Planning, that will role out over the next few months. **Atlas experience would be great
