The Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) will serve as a key member of the Finance team, ensuring the financial health of the company by leading revenue cycle functions. The Director RCM will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s RCM structure, policies and processes while delivering valuable insights to management.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a high-performing team, managing them to consistently meet company performance metrics, ensuring they employ best-in-class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Manage the company’s end-to-end revenue cycle processes, including payer A/R, billing and collections, and insurance underpayment recovery activities, implementing best practices and initiatives to both enable the company to achieve its overall strategic and financial goals and to optimize the patient’s financial interaction along the care continuum.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to manage medical and billing systems and provide leadership and strategic guidance to support scaling operations.
  • Establish and maintain policies for revenue recognition and accounts receivable.
  • Manage the monthly close process for all revenue related activities.
  • Provide insightful reporting to internal management, highlighting key RCM, efficiencies and areas for performance improvement.
  • Oversee the integration and management of both new and existing contracts by partnering with key stakeholders to deliver successful operational and financial metrics.
  • Identify improper denial and rejection trends, working with payers and cross-functional teams to manage claims projects and provide appropriate escalation of payer issues.
  • Oversee technical accounting matters associated with material or nonstandard contracts and settlements.
  • Review payor lag times and assess the need for specific write offs timely.
  • Prepare and review supporting memos with recommended accounting treatments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. CPA is preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive work experience in revenue accounting and revenue cycle management.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Strong background in GAAP, revenue recognition and receivables management.
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare collections

$160,000 - $180,000 a year

The pay range for this position in the US is $160,000 - $180,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are open to compensation negotiations. This role can be located anywhere in the US. Equip offers a comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k, paid time off, family and short-term disability leave.

Physical Demands

Work is performed 100% from home with no requirement to travel. This is a stationary position that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
