CrossFit is looking to hire a Director of Retail and E-Commerce to join our Marketing team. You will lead and grow our retail operations and online sales channels, driving sales growth and enhancing customer experiences. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and the management of CrossFit retail spaces on-site at events and e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in retail management and e-commerce, strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, and a deep understanding of digital marketing and retail technologies. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies, managing budgets, optimizing operations, and driving customer engagement and satisfaction.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Strategic Planning and Leadership:

○ Develop and implement comprehensive retail and e-commerce strategies to achieve sales growth and profitability targets.

○ Collaborate with senior management to align retail and e-commerce initiatives with overall business objectives.

● E-Commerce Management:

○ Manage the e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly online shopping experience.

○ Optimize website functionality, navigation, and product listings to maximize conversions and sales.

○ Implement digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media, to drive online traffic and sales.

○ Collaborate with marketing, partnerships, and product teams to ensure cohesive strategies and successful campaign execution.

● Customer Experience:

○ Develop and implement customer engagement strategies to enhance loyalty and satisfaction both in-store and online.

○ Address customer feedback and complaints promptly, ensuring a positive resolution and continuous improvement.

○ Leverage customer data and insights to personalize marketing efforts and improve customer experience.

● Financial Management

○ Prepare and manage retail and e-commerce operations budgets, ensuring cost control and profitability.

○ Analyze financial reports, sales data, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.

○ Collaborate with finance teams to forecast sales, manage inventory, and optimize pricing strategies.

● On-Site Event Retail Operations:

○ Oversee operations of CrossFit-event retail stores, ensuring efficient processes, optimal inventory levels, and excellent customer service.

○ Lead and manage an on-site team of retail managers, e-commerce specialists, and support staff, fostering a high-performance culture.

○ Monitor and analyze store performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

○ Develop and execute visual merchandising strategies to enhance in-store customer experience and drive sales.

● Technology and Innovation:

○ Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative solutions to enhance retail and e-commerce operations.

○ Implement and manage retail and e-commerce technologies, including POS systems, CRM tools, and inventory management software.

○ Drive digital transformation initiatives to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.


EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL:

● Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing successful retail and e-commerce operations.

● Experience working with a global network or decentralized teams, preferably in the fitness or wellness industry.

● Deep understanding of retail and e-commerce industry trends, best practices, and key performance indicators.

● Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.

● Familiarity with retail and e-commerce technologies, such as POS systems, CRM tools, and e-commerce platforms.

● Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

● Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

● Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.

● Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field required; MBA is a plus.

● Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in retail management and e-commerce, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
