Job Description

The Quality Director is responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of quality systems and processes throughout our Semi-Custom and Premium plants. This position will drive an industry leading quality culture and ensure our product meets or exceeds the expectations of our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement a standardized QMS by defining required elements, identifying gaps in current state, developing and executing an implementation plan
  • Establish standardized quality metrics for incoming, in-process, and outgoing performance that captures Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
  • Develop a quality culture that focuses on improving the customer experience measured by Net Promoter Score, Customer Experience and Customer Survey(s)/Rating(s)
  • Identify strategic priorities for MasterBrand’s quality culture, including a Quality Critical 15, and ensure alignment with cross-functional business partners
  • Enhance communication by developing customer feedback loops & tools, a quality steering team, and identifying target audience, frequency & content
  • Consistently demonstrate our MasterBrand Way, positioning the company for growth and helping identify opportunities for increased performance, employee engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Implement standardized NorthStar format/cadence
  • Lead ANSI certification across the semi-custom and premium plant network
  • Provide strategy and technical support for MasterBrand finish systems


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, Engineering or related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Production, or a combination of both
  • Experience utilizing Lean methodology and tools to identify root cause and solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership and gain cross-functional alignment
  • Proven track record of successful process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization and influence action for change
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
