Director Project Engineering

A new part-time Senior position for a Director Of Project Engineering in Houston is available for those with background in mechanical or chemical engineering and demonstrated experience in power generation project development. This role will be a Consultancy style role where you will provide 5-8 hours of guidance per week and would suit someone who could work their current job alongside this.

Director Of Project Engineering Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in energy-related fields such as engineering, project management, or related disciplines
• A robust background of over 20 years in leadership roles within the energy sector, with a particular focus on managing major capital projects exceeding USD 200 million
• Proven expertise in project scoping, cost control, scheduling, and risk management, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners, ensuring clear alignment with project objectives

Director Of Project Engineering Responsibilities:

• Advise the strategic planning and execution of high-value energy infrastructure projects, overseeing all aspects from conceptualization to completion while ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and corporate standards
• Define project goals and develop comprehensive strategies to achieve them, aligning closely with customer objectives and corporate policies
• Consult Leaders on leading multidisciplinary project teams, providing clear direction, motivation, and support to drive performance excellence and project success
• Lead strategy on building out both permanent and contract project teams
