Key Responsibilities:

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Director of Packaging Procurement to support and ensure the company’s goals and initiatives are met.

This role will be responsible for the end-to-end development of the sourcing strategy (contracting, supply assurance, supplier quality) of $350 million of annual packaging spend in support of TBG’s North American businesses and includes the leadership and development of a team of category buyers. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a candidate based in Bradenton, FL or Chicago, IL.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Support the development and execution of the annual operating plan for Directs Procurement team (annual spend of $1B)
• Oversee the execution of the packaging contracting strategy, development of new sourcing strategies, and an innovative productivity agenda
• Define success criteria for 2 direct reports and support them in the development of the plans to deliver against the success criteria
• Assist in development of global sourcing strategies and best in class procurement execution
• Tackle ambiguous problems to determine and prioritize business strategies
• Ability to structure and prioritize tasks, and focus efforts in an ambiguous work environment
• Demonstrated ability to implement short- and long-term strategies to support organizational operation and transformation
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or similar academic major
• Minimum 10 years of beverage packaging procurement leadership experience
• Experience procuring commodities: futures markets, hedging, forecasting
• Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
• Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
• Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
• Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
• Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
• Ability to travel 25%
