Director of Warehouse Operations

About the Role:

As the Director of Warehouse Operations, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing warehouse operations to ensure efficient distribution of products. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize processes, maximize productivity, and improve operational performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize warehouse operations.
• Oversee warehouse functions including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
• Establish KPIs to measure and track warehouse performance.
• Develop warehouse policies to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with business objectives.
• Manage and motivate warehouse staff, providing leadership and development.
• Implement best practices and technologies for warehouse optimization.
• Evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships.
• Monitor inventory levels and minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Collaborate with IT teams to enhance warehouse management systems.
• Develop and manage budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems and relevant software.
• Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
• Experience in process improvements and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.
