About The Role 🖥
As the US Merchandising Director, you will play a pivotal role in developing, managing, and executing our US merchandising strategy. Responsible for driving sales and providing comprehensive analysis and marketplace insights, this position will contribute to driving long-term growth in the US market. Reporting to our CEO of North America, this role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional, international teams and managing a local merchandising team of 2 -3.

About The Role 🖥
As the US Merchandising Director, you will play a pivotal role in developing, managing, and executing our US merchandising strategy. Responsible for driving sales and providing comprehensive analysis and marketplace insights, this position will contribute to driving long-term growth in the US market. Reporting to our CEO of North America, this role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional, international teams and managing a local merchandising team of 2 -3.
What You Will Do 👜
- Develop and implement comprehensive merchandising strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring an optimal product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to drive sales and maximize GMV
- Create and maintain a daily/weekly/monthly site merchandising calendar, scheduling publication dates, themes, and distribution, coordinating with commercial and marketing teams to ensure alignment with business objections
- Develop and execute promotional campaigns and sales events to achieve sales targets, leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practices
- Work closely with creative teams, including graphic designers, stylists and project managers to produce compelling visual assets for usage onsite, in CRM and digital marketing
- Oversee pricing of US consignment items with the focus of STR and consignor satisfaction, providing strategic sourcing support to VIP consignor teams
- Own and use VCUS Merchandising and CRM reporting to inform decision making, including but not limited to campaign, homepage, sales and listing data, working closely with Global analytics teams for optimization
- Continuously analyze homepage and CRM performance metrics, user behavior data, and industry trends to identify opportunities for site merchandising optimization as well as conduct market research and trend analysis to inform sourcing decisions and assortment planning strategies
- Lead, mentor, and manage merchandising & freelance copy team members, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure the achievement of US goals and objectives
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the merchandising team, exploring new technologies, tools, and strategies to enhance effectiveness and stay competitive
- You have 7 - 10 years of merchandising experience in similar roles in the eCommerce and/or Direct-to-Consumer industry, including significant leadership experience. The ideal candidate will be a visionary merchandising leader with experience leading innovative best-in-class global strategies
- You have the talent, energy and passion to tell Vestiaire Collective’s story, demonstrate customer empathy and understand the buyer & seller mindset
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit, thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- You are a self-starter with the ability to excel through times of growth, ambiguity and change
- You possess a strong drive of projects with ability to convince key stakeholders including regions and business leads
- You have strong attention to detail, you are organized with good management skills and have the ability to roll your sleeves up and lead by example at both strategic and tactical levels
