The Director of the Career Development Center is responsible for the administration and supervision of comprehensive career development/advising services for students, alumnae, and employers.
Essential Functions

Advise individual students and alumnae on all aspects of career planning, including job search techniques and applications to graduate school.
Plan, develop, and conduct workshops, seminars, and training programs at the College that meet the career planning needs of student sand alumnae.
Work with administration and faculty to implement all aspects of the strategic plan that involve career preparation and student professional development.
Oversee the internship program including meeting with and advising students on opportunities and application processes, soliciting new opportunities, maintaining an internship database, and tracking and reporting data to Director of Institutional Research.
Advertise both credit-bearing and non-credit internships to students at the College. Maintain communications with faculty, supervisors, and students regarding the internships, including program administration process and evaluation of the student and the program.
Conduct the Center’s annual graduation survey and follow-up survey designed to capture information regarding students’ post-graduate activities.
Sustain and grow community partnerships with local and regional employers through regular outreach and communications.
Oversee, maintain, and approve the career related web page to ensure that students and alumnae have the most up-to-date information.
Oversee allocation and use of office budget.
Represents the Center and Randolph College at professional development workshops, national and regional conferences, local events, and other functions as requested.
Required Education, Competencies, And Experience
Bachelor’s degree
Excellent administrative and communication skills
A customer service mindset
Demonstrated success working with college-age students
Knowledge of database systems and other technology tools
Preferred Education, Competencies, And Experience
Master’s degree
At least 3 years of experience in career services
Demonstrated success working with college students, faculty, and administration
Work environment
Position typically works in an office environment. Requires standing/walking/sitting for extended periods of time.
Physical demands
Requires standing/walking/sitting for extended periods of time. May occasionally lift 10/15 lbs.
