We are currently seeking an onsite Director of Technical Services and Aftermarket Support in Canton, OH for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. The Director of Technical Services and Aftermarket Support is responsible for growing and leading profitable field service, technical support, training, and spare parts and accessories functions. The leader will develop and evolve strategies to strengthen the value provided to customers and channel partners, developing, and implementing programs focused on further strengthening the company’s solutions.
This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
Strategic leadership for after-sales spare parts and accessories operations. Create programs and policies which support industry leading OEE while simultaneously supporting ROI goals.
Develop and continuously improve value-added services for customers, including but not limited to Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and Service Level Agreements.
Provide leadership for field services, including, but not limited to, developing comprehensive training, development, and career paths. Strategic leadership for field service policies and procedures, service delivery optimization and effectiveness, including developing measures and KPI’s.
Provide leadership and vision for training programs and content development for internal teams, channel partners, and end users, including but not limited to technical training, product training, and maintenance training.
Develop relationships with channel partners and create programs that leverage the strengths of the partnership to further amplify our capability to provide world class support to end user customers.
Act as the customer advocate with peer groups to improve upon our products and services to create more value for our customers.
Recruit, interview, hire, train, coach and develop departmental staff.
Establish measures, KPI’s, and OKR’s for all functions and manage and coach the teams for achieve goals.
Provide constructive and frequent and timely coaching as well as providing more formal performance evaluations.
Develop and manage department’s P&L and OKR’s.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required in a technical field or Business degree with substantial technical experience.
Five years of leadership experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated technical proficiency, strong planning skills, and good judgment.
Inclination to “roll up sleeves” and lead collaboratively from the shop floor and field
Proven ability to balance competing priorities in a complex manufacturing environment.
Background in capital equipment industries, packaging equipment experience is a plus.
Technical experience is a plus, experience with PLC’s, servo motion control, and robotics a strong plus.
Proficient in enterprise software: ERP, BI reporting tools.
