Director of Tax

We are on the lookout for an entrepreneurial Director of Tax to spearhead the establishment of our new tax practice. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary leader to shape the future of tax services for a fully remote organization within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Role Summary:

As the Director of Tax, you will be instrumental in building a tax practice from the ground up. Your expertise will guide the strategic direction, operational execution, and development of a fully remote tax team. You will serve as an inspiring leader, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the new tax practice.
• Drive business growth through networking, thought leadership, and business development activities.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Cultivate relationships with clients, providing expert advice and innovative tax solutions.
• Stay abreast of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and strategic tax planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate tax services with other company offerings.

Qualifications:

• CPA or equivalent tax certification.
• Proven experience in building and leading a tax practice.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit with a track record of innovation and growth.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor remote teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset.
• In-depth knowledge of tax regulations and the ability to apply them creatively to benefit clients.

What We Offer:

• Compensation: $150,000 - $250,000 (DOE)
