A truly unique role, the Director of Talent Acquisition and Employee Development is a hybrid role that combines the responsibilities of recruiting top talent with the development and implementation of training/development programs. This role is crucial in ensuring that NorthRock Partners attracts, retains, and develops high-quality candidates/employees who can contribute to our growth and success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both recruitment and learning & development, with a passion for fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Development:

  • Assess organizational and employee development needs and design, implement, and evaluate learning programs.
  • Develop and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and e-learning courses to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Create and manage individual development plans for employees to support their career growth and development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make continuous improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in learning and development to ensure programs remain current and effective.


Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent for various roles across the organization.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through networking, social media, and other recruitment channels.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on best practices for candidate selection.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in talent acquisition and learning & development roles.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs and workshops.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Must be in Minneapolis, MN.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience in a high-growth or financial service industry.
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
