Job Title: Director of Surgical Services

Location: El Paso, TX

Job Summary

The Director of Surgical Services leads the perioperative team with a focus on safe patient care while effectively managing operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and address real/potential problems affecting service, implementing solutions with follow-through and communication.
  • Actively participate in service, departmental, and hospital-wide committees, providing ongoing communication.
  • Coach subordinates, providing feedback, constructive critique, individual development plans, and documenting job performance.
  • Effectively communicate departmental, organizational, and industry information to staff.
  • Build strong relationships and networks to achieve organizational and department goals.
  • Enforce standards of care for surgical services, developing processes for consistent compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate an ongoing surgical services program ensuring quality patient care consistent with the Hospital mission.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies for safety.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice.
  • A certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) is preferred.
  • Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience.

Sign-on and Relocation Bonus: Negotiable.
