Director of Supply

Job Summary:

As the only fuel procurement solution, Fuel Me is currently aggressively expanding to increase its market share. In order to capitalize on the industry demand for Fuel Me, Fuel Me needs to make sure that operations for servicing of customers is efficient and effective. We’re looking for someone with a minimum 5 years of director level experience in the fuel distribution industry who wants to manage and oversee supply operations to support nationwide customer operations of fuel servicing managed through the Fuel Me technology platform. (This is a fully remote role)

Responsibilities:

Oversee the Supply Department:

• Lead and manage the Supply Department, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to maximize the efficiency of supply chain operations.

Vendor Relations Management:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and consistent supply of necessary resources.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable conditions for the company.
• Regularly evaluate vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.

Strategic Planning and Forecasting:

• Develop long-term procurement strategies based on projected growth, market trends, and future needs.
• Engage in forecasting and planning to anticipate supply needs and address potential supply chain challenges.

Supplier Technology Integration:

• Lead initiatives to integrate supplier operations with our proprietary technology platform to enhance the efficiency of order processing and fulfillment.

Manage RFP/Bid Processes:

• Oversee the request for proposal (RFP) and bidding processes, ensuring they are handled in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate with various teams to prepare competitive and comprehensive bid packages.

Pricing Support for Sales Team:

• Provide timely and accurate pricing information to assist the sales team in the formulation of bids and sales proposals.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to procurement and supply chain management.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply disruptions and manage supplier risk.

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply department to evaluate efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
• Provide regular reports to senior management detailing supply chain performance and progress towards strategic goals.

Cross-Functional Team Integration:

• Act as a key liaison between the supply department and other functional areas, ensuring integrated supply chain strategies across the organization.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of director level experience preferably in the fuel distribution industry
• Previous supply & operations experience across departments (supply, vendor relations, procurement, etc.)
• Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM is a plus.
• Ability to partner closely with executive leadership to execute and deliver on key initiatives across the business.
