Curri

Director of Supply

Curri United States

About The Role

Curri utilizes a network of independent contractors to deliver construction and industrial materials for customers. The Director of Supply is responsible for growing our driver base to serve the needs of our markets, optimizing the driver onboarding funnel to efficiently vet and get them from signup to first delivery, and managing the quality of existing supply to provide the best experience on the Curri Network.

You will lead the Supply strategy in new and existing markets, partnering with operations, revenue, product, and engineering to provide the best delivery experience to customers. The role requires you to lead a team, quickly respond to demand needs, build a scalable supply engine, and sometimes do unscalable things along the way. No problem is too big or too small. You will continuously challenge the status quo to provide a better experience for our customers, drivers, and Curri’s internal teams. You will report to the SVP of Operations, and as part of the Operations leadership team, you will be expected to proactively influence overall team priorities

What you will do:

  • Develop and own a cohesive Supply strategy
  • Define the structure and lead the team to execute on the strategy
  • Experiment to continuously improve driver acquisition and onboarding practices
  • Dynamically prioritize acquisition efforts to increase ROI on our supply efforts, which will involve collaborating with other teams at Curri
  • Improve how we measure and react to anticipated growth and changes in marketplace conditions
  • Onboard and build relationships with larger-scale carriers of strategic value to Curri’s network and customers
  • Manage and improve the quality of our existing supply to maintain highly engaged drivers and consistently provide a reliable delivery experience to our customers

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment, including banking, consulting, technology, analytics, operations, and/or strategy
  • A self-starter mentality that thrives in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, environment
  • Comfort with shifting priorities based on new insights and business needs
  • Strong funnel analysis and optimization skills
  • Data-driven experimentation and decision-making that relies on testing and iteration
  • Exceptional at turning data analysis and dashboarding into action
  • Have experience managing a team or has demonstrated capabilities to do this successfully
  • Great communication skills (verbal and written) that levels up the communication standards of their entire team
  • Familiarity or proficiency with SQL is highly preferred
  • Experience in logistics or on-demand marketplaces (e.g., ridesharing, food delivery, last-mile delivery) is a bonus

What is in it for you?

  • You will have the opportunity to work for a dynamic and successful start-up on a diverse team where you can make a huge impact by doing meaningful work.
  • Significant and meaningful responsibilities from Day 1, with the ability to shape operational strategy. The possibilities are limitless and depend on you.
  • Work in a remote environment with a flexible schedule. We don’t micromanage and want to help you do great work.
  • There is no work/life—there is only life and want your time at Curri to be life-giving and foster the best version of you. We care about family and your own personal development and don't expect you to be always engaged with work.
  • We offer a competitive salary, and benefits including, but not limited to, health, dental, vision, 401K, and an equity compensation grant.
