Job Purpose
As the Director of Strategic Communications, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our global influence through strategic communication, media relations, and brand management. Leading a team of communication professionals, you will develop and execute comprehensive strategies to amplify our mission, engage new audiences, and support organizational growth. Your work will shape our narrative on global stages and across social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications: Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement communication strategies aligned with organizational goals. Refine our brand strategy and messaging framework to ensure consistency and impact.
Public Relations: Manage media relations and serve as the primary contact for inquiries. Lead publicity campaigns and maintain our strong presence across digital platforms.
Team Management: Oversee a communications team, fostering professional development and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Manage budgets and external contractors effectively.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: BA in a related field with 10+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations. Experience in brand management and digital engagement is advantageous.
Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely for diverse audiences. Proficiency in social media strategy and community engagement. Knowledge of biomimicry or a willingness to learn is essential.
Physical Requirements And Work Environment
This is a remote position with occasional travel required. You should be comfortable working independently in a home office environment and adaptable to global time zones.
