The Director of Sports Performance (DSP) will be have a multifaceted and significant role in the
future success of the club. The role will demand comprehensive application of modern injury
prevention methods, rehabilitation procedures, and strategies for in-season strength building. The DSP will report directly to the club’s head coach while also connecting the medical department to the technical staff on a daily basis.
Roles & Responsibilities
Daily overview & coordination with team medical staff
Organize, coordinate, & monitor the on-field injury rehabilitation process
Monitor & advise technical staff on daily training loads
Monitor & document GPS data from all player activities
Develop & execute team strength program
Design & execute daily team warm-up
Execution of post-training & post-game recovery sessions
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher in athletic training/exercise sports science
5+ years of football-specific professional experience in strength & conditioning field
Familiarization with StatSport GPS systems
USSF or UEFA coaching certificates (B level or higher)
