Location: Little Falls Community Schools, District 482
Overview: Little Falls Community Schools is seeking a high-quality, approachable, and innovative educational leader for the position of Special Education Director. District 482's dynamic staff is highly committed to aligning the work of adults throughout our system, and within our community, around improving the learning of each of our students. We are dedicated to finding a collaborative leader with a passion for working with special education students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Provide educational leadership and management oversight of personnel in implementing educational programming, curriculum, instruction, safety, and district policies and procedures within the special education department.
Coordinate the hiring of staff and evaluate personnel.
Implement and oversee budget(s) for the special education department.
Coordinate and implement district initiatives.
Perform community/public relations activities.
Effectively communicate with all stakeholders to address and resolve issues, concerns, and questions.
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid Director of Special Education license in Minnesota.
Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate with a diverse team of educators and staff.
Strong commitment to the improvement of learning outcomes for all students, particularly those in special education.
Proven experience in educational leadership, budget management, and staff evaluation.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders effectively.
