Our client is a managed services organization and they wish to hire a Director of Shared Services that will be responsible for ensuring that shared services within the organization, including AP, AR, Collections and Payroll etc., adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. In addition, this role will manage and collaborate with various teams across these departments to develop and implement compliance processes, monitor activities, and provide guidance on all operational and compliance related matters.


Essential duties will include-


  • Management AP, AR, Collections and Payroll functions and associated employees
  • Develop and implement compliance monitoring procedures for shared services operations
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Policy Development and Implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and update compliance policies and procedures
  • Ensure that policies are effectively communicated and understood by employees, and oversee their implementation and enforcement
  • Identify potential compliance risks associated with shared services activities
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and controls to address identified risks effectively
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedure
  • Work closely with stakeholders across different departments, to address compliance-related issues
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance matters, providing guidance and support to relevant stakeholders


Job Requirements-


  • Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant discipline, MBA preferred
  • CPA is a big plus
  • Public Accounting experience preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong background in AP, AR, Collections and Payroll
  • Proven experience in compliance, audit, or risk management roles within a corporate environment, in a shared services setting
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to shared services operations
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory and security requirements and assess their impact on business processes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
