Director of Sales Planning - Remote | WFH

We're seeking an exceptional Director of Sales Planning to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you'll lead the sales planning team, acting as the linchpin between our field/customer sales teams and corporate partners. Your mission will be to drive sales strategy and revenue optimization through collaborative alignment and effective communication.

As the Director of Sales Planning, you'll wear many hats. You'll work cross-functionally to develop strategic growth plans and annual operating plans, ensuring seamless execution from the field sales team. Additionally, you'll craft customer channel innovation presentations, focusing on sales execution strategies, consumer insights, marketing plans, pricing, merchandising, and shelving recommendations.

Your analytical prowess will shine as you deliver volume and profit projections, analyses, and results that contribute to achieving our financial objectives. You'll also analyze and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) for our customers and product platforms, develop distribution, shelving, pricing, and promotional strategies, and establish trade rates to optimize promotional expectations.

Furthermore, you'll coordinate discovery meetings with strategic customers, exploring new growth ideas and fostering strong relationships.

Demonstrated strategic development and execution skills are essential, as well as the ability to generate innovative approaches and solutions to business challenges. You should understand the needs of customers and consumers by leveraging data and insights, develop meaningful relationships, and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in Sales Planning, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Category Management, Customer-facing sales roles, Sales Operation, and/or Sales Strategy
  • 7+ years of experience within the food, beverage, and/or CPG industries
  • Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and inventory management
  • Strong knowledge and experience with major retail customers
  • Exceptional sales presentation and development skills
  • Effective written and oral communication abilities
  • Ability to develop creative and innovative customer marketing programs
