This position can be remote with the expectation of travel.

About The Position And Our Team

TransImpact is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales to lead our Parcel Sales Team toward achieving greater revenue growth. This role is pivotal in managing and enhancing the team's performance through effective selling, training, coaching, and accountability in meeting key performance indicators (KPIs). The Director of Sales will play a crucial role in facilitating the sales process, including participating in joint sales calls, delivering presentations, and steering opportunities through the sales funnel to successful closures.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Sales team to identify and develop new clients and partnerships through strategic sales techniques and building relevant relationships.
  • Train and ensure the Sales team effectively communicates TransImpact’s value proposition through compelling presentations, proposals, and engaging post-sale activities.
  • Oversee and prioritize sales activities to meet annual KPIs, while managing personal productivity and time efficiently.
  • Ensure the Sales team meets annual KPIs and maintains CRM compliance.
  • Plan and oversee client business portfolios in alignment with company directives.
  • Respond to sales inquiries promptly and follow up using company-approved methods.
  • Utilize and maintain sales, customer, and prospect contact tools and systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, HubSpot, ZoomInfo), ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
  • Develop and implement business processes, policies, and plans to boost the Sales team's effectiveness.
  • Facilitate profitable business development and sustainable relationships through effective internal and external communication, liaison, and negotiation.
  • Job responsibilities and any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and support our organization’s values.


Qualifications And Skills Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales management, particularly with a remote workforce.
  • Proven experience in C-Level B2B sales and account management, with parcel industry experience being highly valued.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including phone etiquette and presentation abilities.
  • Competent in addressing client queries, resolving issues, and negotiating sales-related matters.
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret business contracts.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in situations with limited standardization.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to various situations.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and participate in trade shows as required.
