Brief Description

Our Sustained Quality division is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts and drive revenue growth. The Director of Sales will play a critical role in developing and executing the company's sales strategy, managing a high-performing business development team, and cultivating strong relationships with key customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our business and shape the future of our sales department.

Compensation: $90k-$100k + commission

Schedule: Remote with up to 60-70% travel to current territories

How You’ll Do It

Director of Sales (DOS) plays a critical role in driving the Quality division’s revenue growth by developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, managing a high-performing sales team, and cultivating strong customer relationships within the target industries. In this role the DOS will also lead and support any corporate/national sales efforts. Leads team in building, planning & executing annual budget process to the expectations directed by leadership.

  • Ability to supervise up to 10 direct reports and cover up to a 400-mile radius and a 5-state area. (TN, AL, SC, IN, MI)
  • Assist staff in establishing and executing a sales and a marketing plan that assures achieving or exceeding budget.
  • Ability to build a market with at least 2 AB MSA markets.
  • Facilitate and lead weekly 1/1 with direct reports, quarterly reviews, and a monthly financial review process to create awareness of performance and action plans to drive improved results and performance.
  • Be capable of working with minimum supervision.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations; must ensure that all federal, state, and local employment laws are followed.
  • Reach a revenue scope of $40+ million.
  • Leadership of multiple PLG brands.
  • Set an excellent example and quality image to all company personnel, customers, business partners and the general public. Conduct activities as a company representative in an ethical and businesslike manner. Maintain and safeguard company assets and proprietary information.
  • Drive accountability through KPI's, Metrics and ongoing performance coaching.
  • Be an idea generator and constantly looking for ways to improve and enhance service and operations.
  • Be engaged ongoing and collaborate with Business Unit Leaders, Matrix Leaders and all leadership in the organization.


What You’ll Bring

This is an experienced hire role, and you’ll need to bring 3-5 years of outside sales and management experience within the automotive manufacturing industry.

Here’s What Else We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years’ experience in a leadership role, preferably within the quality containment, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
  • Up to 60-70% travel.
  • Living within or near our current areas, preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management and mentoring skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Basic financial understanding.
  • Detail and process oriented – ability to lead and manage multiple tasks.
  • Solid problem resolution skills.

Requires good hand/eye coordination, arm/hand/ finger dexterity including the ability grasp and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate office equipment and read and write the application information. The staff associate is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
