Acara Solutions is seeking a Director of Sales and Operations Planning to Join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in Waco TX or Dallas TX

• The Director of Sales and Operations Planning is in a strategic position reporting directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer
• Will require an experienced S&OP leader able to facilitate and drive results in a fast paced and demanding growth environment, leveraging their interpersonal and leadership skills
• Responsible for implementing a world class S&OP process across the United States to improve customer satisfaction, profitability, inventory turns, lead times and working capital
• Core functions of the position include strategic and tactical decision making related to balancing demand and supply; aligns volume and mix with capacity and capability; and integrates financial and operating plans with strategic objectives to deliver improved operating and financial results.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• BA Degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Technical, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of supply chain and operations experience (in a capital business, discrete manufacturing environment)

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• An advanced understanding and application of lean manufacturing principles
• Data driven with demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Proven leadership abilities and in-depth knowledge of materials management and S&OP
• Knowledge, experience, and proficiency with ERP systems
• Strong experience in performance metrics and process implementation and improvement.
• Strong project management skills / background
• High ethical standards. Models and supports organization's goals and values; adapts to changing conditions; demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideas in a variety of media
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and hold others accountable
