Director of Revenue Management - Remote | WFH

**Job Title: Director of Revenue Management**

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Revenue Management to join our team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Revenue Optimization, this role is pivotal in supporting our portfolio of over 10 locations. The ideal candidate will be based in Houston, Texas, and will be responsible for managing revenue strategies to maximize revenue per available room (RevPAR) and optimize all ancillary revenue streams. Remote work is not an option for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor the Revenue Analyst/Manager to achieve and surpass key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Facilitate weekly revenue strategy meetings with hotel teams.
  • Ensure the implementation of revenue strategies across properties and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Lead meetings with owners/stakeholders to discuss property performance.
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly performance analysis and provide constructive feedback.
  • Utilize various revenue management and reservation systems for different brands, as well as other business intelligence tools.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and averages, and present findings effectively.
  • Monitor competition daily to identify selling strategies and market trends.
  • Maintain and update approved tools, databases, and systems.
  • Prepare reports to assess performance and develop strategies for future periods.

Support Activities

  • Identify opportunities or problem areas by understanding the needs and concerns of property owners, the Vice President of Revenue Optimization, hotel staff, and corporate support staff.
  • Communicate effectively with all relevant staff, providing them with pertinent business information.
  • Foster positive and collaborative relationships with hotel management teams and corporate support staff.
  • Work with the Vice President of Revenue Optimization to set goals and plans that prioritize and achieve departmental objectives.
  • Attend various meetings to understand market statistics, record minutes, discuss assignments, and present analytical findings.
  • Assist in preparing for Revenue Management meetings by gathering data and creating meeting packets, and present meeting minutes.
  • Respond to information requests from hotel staff and corporate support staff by conducting research.
  • Utilize property management systems and web-based programs to adjust strategies, inventory controls, length of stay patterns, and monitor group inventory changes.

Requirements/Prerequisites

  • Experience with major hotel brands and/or third-party Property Management Systems (PMS), Revenue Management Systems (RMS), and Central Reservation Systems (CRS) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in analyzing, interpreting, and explaining statistical data to develop strategies and action plans.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Minimum of four years of analytical experience in revenue management, data management, reservations, or front office operations.
  • Self-directed with the ability to achieve all goals required by the position.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, apply resources, measure impact, and follow through to resolution.
  • Service-minded with the highest level of integrity, friendliness, and team orientation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information discreetly and professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize, manage time, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Quick learner with the ability to accurately administer complex processes.
  • Proven ability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment.
