Job Description

The Director of Retail Store Operations manages a team that is responsible for achieving sales and profit targets for the Retail business through the customer experience. This position leads a corporate team and works with Field teams to strategize business communication, process improvement, productivity enhancements, visual standards, loss prevention, procurement, expense control, store training, and coordinates elements of new store openings. This position partners with multi-unit leaders, talent and organizational development, marketing, and merchandising within the organization to achieve goals. This individual equally represents the field and corporate office, will foster communication between the two, and will streamline efficiencies. Responsible for leading and oversight of Hot Market events; including coordinating deliveries for onsite pickups to stores, support staff travel and scheduling, and communication, before, during and after the game.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for leading a team to advance our customer experience, employee experience, visual standards, operational processes, field communications, loss prevention, and deployment capabilities.
  • Execute the retail strategy by supporting the Retail Field in partnership with the corporate office in a result-orientated, timely, and fiscally responsible manner.
  • Responsible for leading and oversight of Hot Market events; including coordinating deliveries for onsite pickups to stores, support staff travel and scheduling, and communication, before, during and after the games
  • Ensure operational policies and procedures are developed, effectively implemented, and maintained to achieve organizational consistency and efficiency throughout the Retail Stores.
  • Lead and develop processes to ensure the correct execution of marketing, operations, and merchandising guidelines.
  • Partner with all departments for timely and effective outbound and inbound communication within the Retail Stores.
  • Demonstrate strategic business acumen with a keen focus on processes for all field KPIs, and other key business drivers that directly impact the customer experience. Understand their specific nuances to make recommendations to achieve results.
  • Lead new program launches and ensure alignment for training content and development and sustainability.
  • Responsible for budgets and planning of store fixtures, supplies, and travel.
  • Manage and develop the team to deliver expectations.
  • Lead by example; inspire, motivate, mentor, and educate the Retail field team while collectively building a sustainable culture that is unrivaled within the Retail industry.
  • Communicate with all departments to deliver cohesive brand equity and an extraordinary guest experience.
  • Partner with Recruiting to identify appropriate training and/or coaching opportunities and follow up to ensure effective, legally compliant, and consistent resolutions are reached.
  • Fiscal Responsibility

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of Retail Store Operations experience relative to store communication, new process development, and store supplies; At least 4-5 years of Retail Store Management experience is required with a focus on apparel; 4-year College Degree; Travel as needed.

Required to stand and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; differentiate colors. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds. The position also requires the ability to work in, on, around, over and under fixed equipment and ladders.
