Our client, a global leader in core technology solutions for medical and advanced industrial OEMs, is seeking a Director of Real Estate to join their dynamic team. Headquartered in Bedford, MA, with remote work options available, the company specializes in precision medicine, manufacturing, robotics, and automation.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Director of Real Estate will oversee a diverse global portfolio encompassing approximately 50 properties across the United States, Europe, and Asia. This portfolio includes a mix of manufacturing facilities, lab spaces, and offices, with a strategic focus on optimizing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Real Estate Portfolio Management:
Develop and execute a comprehensive real estate strategy aligned with business objectives.
Manage all aspects of real estate transactions including acquisitions, leasing, renewals, site selection, and property disposals.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with landlords and brokers to ensure favorable terms and outcomes.
Financial Management & Analysis:
Create and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize cost-efficiency.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to executive leadership on real estate performance.
Develop business cases for new locations, expansions, and lease renewals.
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate closely with company leadership to align real estate strategies with overall business goals.
Anticipate future real estate needs based on growth projections and business changes.
Evaluate and recommend real estate investments and divestments in accordance with corporate strategy.
Required Experience & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Engineering, or Business preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in real estate management, including lease negotiations and strategic planning.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive data-driven decisions.
Proactive and collaborative approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in managing real estate within manufacturing environments is a plus.
