The Quality Leadership Director will be responsible for managing and leading the quality assurance teams across our various facilities in North America. The role is pivotal in setting and achieving strategic goals that focus on quality, efficiency, and timely delivery, ensuring our status as a top-tier manufacturing entity. Collaborating with senior leadership and operational teams, the Quality Leadership Director will spearhead initiatives for continuous improvement, aiming for growth, excellent customer service, and setting the standard for product quality and reliability. This leadership position will mentor and oversee quality personnel at all levels and will be based out of the La Crosse, WI region.


Responsibilities:

  • Direct and mentor the quality assurance team, establishing and pursuing strategic objectives.
  • Offer leadership and direction to the quality department, ensuring synergy with manufacturing, operations, program management, engineering, sales, and logistics.
  • Align internal processes and benchmarks to achieve superior product quality and a competitive edge.
  • Deploy and manage a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) throughout all North American sites, maintaining necessary industry and client certifications.
  • Cultivate robust relationships with client-facing quality, procurement, and engineering departments.
  • Guarantee that client specifications are clearly understood, disseminated, and met.
  • Develop and uphold quality goals that support the organization’s policies, procedures, and ambitions.
  • Foster a dynamic, goal-oriented quality team with a defined purpose to aid organizational expansion.
  • Communicate the organization’s quality philosophy to key team members.
  • Analyze customer feedback and quality-related costs to identify trends and implement effective corrective measures.
  • Integrate quality objectives with production processes in collaboration with the management team to optimize product dependability and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitor client evaluations to ensure metrics surpass expectations, which is vital for acquiring new contracts.
  • Uphold exceptional levels of customer service and support within the organization.
  • Engage actively with cross-functional teams within the company.
  • Undertake special projects as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication abilities with colleagues, management, suppliers, and clients.
  • Analytical mindset with the capacity to evaluate the pros and cons of different solutions or approaches.
  • Proven track record of supporting clients across diverse sectors, with experience in the automotive OEM supply chain being essential.
  • Familiarity with TS/IATF, ISO, and automotive OEM certification standards.
  • A history of successfully leading quality teams across multiple locations.
  • Openness to travel as business needs dictate.
  • A strong background in problem-solving methodologies and essential quality tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and capabilities.
  • At least fifteen years of experience in quality roles, including a minimum of five years in a leadership capacity overseeing cross-functional quality teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
