The Director of Quality strives to be the leader in quality management and ability to scale
to support manage the business. Key responsibilities include developing quality
plans for high quality parts. The candidate will be managing quality personnel in
production to continuously produce and procure high quality parts consistently, with
improvement in quality/performance quarter to quarter. He/she will plan, assure
and document the quality on each production process and final products. He/she
will be able to develop, implement and maintain a quality system to address and
control the quality of products, processes and systems based on ISO-9001
standards and ITAR registration.

Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and administer the QC Plan.
• Review plans and specifications to ensure requirements are met for each
SMT/Box Build process.
• Complete necessary inspection reports and documentation.
• Identify non-conformities, analyze root causes, and take corrective
measures.
• Coordinate QC activities.
• Maintain daily paperwork such as reports, log updates, and email.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Manage and monitor required testing.
• Conduct pre-final/final inspections; establish punch list; and, ensure all
deficiencies are corrected.
• Conduct and/or attend QC meetings.
• Maintain and submit as-builts on finished projects.
• Prepare documentation for each definable feature of work in their area of
responsibility; Distribute written inspection/test results to appropriate
personnel/agencies.
• Ability to organize tasks and work efficiently without direct supervision.
• Tracking, management and reporting for the assigned quality initiative
programs.
• Passion for excellence with high integrity, commitment to quality and
work with suppliers.
• Establish and maintain policy for documentation of all products.
• Reviews documentation before being sent to external customers.
• Implements ongoing quality improvement processes working with
interdepartmental teamsAnticipates, to the extent possible, program release problems and takes
corrective action to resolve and achieve commitments. Escalates issues to
the Director of Operations and Director of Quality as needed.
• Evaluate, and oversee the monitoring of, gages and measuring devices to
detect non-conforming products.
• Ongoing observation of all in-process manufacturing levels and evaluation
of their adherence to good and established quality standards.
• Constant evaluation, analysis, and continuous improvement of the present
quality assurance system and procedures.
• Maintain history of records associated with listing agencies (CSA, SGS, and
U.L.).
• Form teams for analyzing corrective actions for defective materials.
• Determine disposition of scrap and/or rework.
• Develop and supervise quality technician and quality final auditors daily.
• Maintain Non-Conforming Material Review (NCMR) database for supply
base.
• Maintain ISO 9001 System.
• Maintain good employee relations and communications.
• Performs other related duties as needed and assigned.

Requirements
• Minimum 7-10 years in a QA SMT management position.
• 3-5 years' experience working with ISO, and a Quality Management
System
• Auditing, Procedure and Work Instruction creation and implementation,
CAPA processes...
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook) and SharePoint administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experienced in statistical tools for root cause analysis and statistical
decision making. Have knowledge and experience of process
improvement methodologies.
• Ability to Travel 30 %.
