Village Administrator at Village of New Glarus, WI
Join our team at the Village of New Glarus as our Public Works Director!
Responsibilities
Working Director position, overseeing maintenance of Village streets, sewer and stormwater facilities, parks, and wastewater treatment plant
Supervises three full-time employees, plus additional seasonal staff
Develops and manages department operating and capital improvement budgets
Operates a variety of light and heavy equipment, including front end loader, snow plow, jet truck, brush chipper, etc.
Qualifications
Five years of experience in public works or related field with at least three years of supervision experience
Associates Degree in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, or other closely related field
Valid commercial driver’s license in the State of Wisconsin
Wisconsin DNR Wastewater Operator License or ability to obtain license
Response Time
Must reside within a 30-minute response time to the Village of New Glarus.
Compensation
Starting salary will be $33 to $36 per hour, based on experience, plus excellent benefits including participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System, competitive health and dental plan, 11 paid holidays, paid parental leave, and more.
