Women In Media is seeking a dedicated, full time Director of Programs. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a demonstrated interest in parity and inclusion in the entertainment industry. They should demonstrate a firm understanding of the process of storytelling at the independent and studio level, and the roles necessary to complete those projects. This position will report directly to the Executive Director and cover a wide array of responsibilities. It requires strong organizational skills, an attitude of openness and learning, and an eagerness to grow with a team that is passionate about putting our values into practice. This is a hybrid position, meeting at the Burbank office as required.

Women In Media is a 501c3 charity which promotes gender balance in the film and entertainment industries through networking, professional development, and advocacy for filmmakers who work behind the scenes.
Qualifications
A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience in events coordination, nonprofit management, program development, arts management and/or grantmaking, public policy, community development, civic engagement, organizational or community capacity building, philanthropy, or other relevant field(s) required
Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and a willingness to collaborate
Understanding of the film industry, film production, and new media
Ability to create and/or oversee content creation
Commitment to parity and inclusion in the entertainment industry
Experience working with diverse groups and in a team environment, with a collaborative and consultative style
Excellent organizational, analytical, and written/oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
Has established corporate and industry relationships, with an ability to network and build new relationships
Familiarity with Google Suite, Wordpress, social media scheduling software, and MailChimp
Effective communication and relationship building skills
Experience with training, events, and tradeshows a plus
Ability to collaborate on strategic marketing and branding initiatives
Must be discrete and able to maintain confidential information
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Director is responsible for managing a portfolio of existing programs, developing new programs, seeking new opportunities
Work with the Executive Director on strategies to move the mission and organization forward
Collaborate and support Executive Director in seeking new partnerships and funding opportunities
Interact with other department heads, committee chairs, and volunteers to keep them on track to achieving the organization's goals
Collaborate on the strategic plan
Collaborate on budgets for events and initiatives
Collaborate on newsletters and social media strategy and implementation
Report individual program finances to the Treasurer of the Board
Present at Advisory Board Meetings (2 per year)
Communicate with filmmakers and industry executives
Draft weekly newsletters and creating event invitations
Manage and train volunteers
Provide general administrative support
Valid driver's license and transportation a must
Employment contingent on passing a background check
Most hours are within typical business hours, although some events and meetings are on nights and weekends

Mid $60K, depending on experience
