Director of Production Job Summary: The Director of Production will be responsible for overseeing and developing all staff in their department. They will oversee a team focused on providing deliverables to clients to exceed their expectations and with flawless execution. The Director of Production will build and grow a client-focused and efficient team capable of handling multiple priorities at the same time. Primary Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with all department directors to ensure seamless execution for all deliverables to clients
Oversee the day-to-day tasks and workload for all members of the team
Research and stay up to date on best practices in the industry related to Production and make recommendations to executive team on improvement to processes
Train and develop staff to perform their job responsibilities with a continuous improvement mindset
Create an engaged and accountable team that delivers superior client deliverables
Audit and provide feedback to team on issues with deliverables
Work with Production Associate(s) to identify reporter opportunity areas and communicate to Calendar Lead
Audit late jobs list and ensure reporters are contacted and have provided an ETA
Provide ongoing performance reviews for all members of the Production team to include but not limited to mid-year and year end reviews Requirements:
Able to respond promptly to client needs, follow through and resolve issues in a pleasant and helpful manner
Must be detail-oriented and accurate, ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively
Ability to analyze team work flow/processes and make changes as necessary to increase productivity and/or decrease risk
Ability to solve problems creatively and manage internal and external issues
Sound judgement in problem solving and understanding when to elevate issues to manager
