About the Role:

Fine Fettle is seeking a highly skilled Product Director to lead our product marketing efforts. This role will be focused on owning, building, designing, and promoting the products from our cultivation and production facilities across the states in which we operate. You will ensure our products align with our brand identity and meet the needs of our diverse customer base. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role will oversee all marketing responsibilities within the product development stage gate process, packaging, go to market, merchandising, and overall driving the successful introduction of new and existing products in the market.

  • Oversee the marketing responsibilities in the product development stage gate process, ensuring all deliverables are achieved.
  • Conduct product research, competitor research, and target market analysis to align product strategy and decisions with business objectives.
  • Manage key deliverables and dates, packaging discovery, product concept generation, and demand planning.
  • Coordinate with designers for preliminary and final artwork and packaging design, ensuring alignment with brand identity.
  • Develop SKU setups and product naming conventions.
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing on brand decisions and product portfolio construction to align with the company’s mission and market strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for new product development based on market research and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, wholesale, and finance teams to ensure seamless product development and market introduction.
  • Develop the value proposition and marketing strategy for new products and coordinate with sales to ensure alignment, including wholesale and retail.
  • Work with finance to understand the economic implications of product decisions and optimize margins.

  • A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the cannabis industry and market dynamics.
  • Experienced in managing product marketing and development processes.
  • Excellent at cross-functional collaboration, able to work effectively with production, wholesale, and finance teams.
  • Skilled in market research and competitor analysis, with a keen eye for identifying new product opportunities.
  • Strong in managing project timelines and deliverables, with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Proficient in understanding the economic aspects of product development and optimizing margins.
  • An effective communicator, able to inspire and align teams towards common goals.



Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in product marketing or related roles in the cannabis industry.
  • Proven experience in managing product development processes and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct comprehensive market research.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Creative problem-solving and innovative thinking.
