The Director of Procurement is responsible for leading a global team of experienced to entry level professionals focused on the execution of all procurement and asset management related requests. This role works across all functions to ensure that procurement initiatives are aligned with the organization’s growth, cost savings, and risk management goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results
  • Typically manages a department or small unit that includes multiple teams, and Influences others to accept practices and approaches
  • Communicates to and influences executive leadership
  • Oversees global contract management to align with business systems, vendor renewals, and strategic long-term initiatives
  • Directly own and manage large-scale vendor negotiations requiring regular interaction with ELT/SLT stakeholders; provide strategic direction and guidance on vendor strategies, marketplace dynamics, opportunities, etc.
  • Owns short to mid-term execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the Procurement and Travel & Expense teams including cost saving initiatives
  • Develops portfolio-based procurement strategies and processes to optimize pricing and terms with partners and vendors
  • Lead RFQs/RFPs and establish service level agreements (SLAs) by which to assess the performance of approved vendors
  • Oversees and refines procurement processes, including Purchase Order, Purchase Requisition and Contract execution
  • Manages, mentors, and coaches to develop a collaborative and dynamic team
  • Collaborate with Legal & Information Security representatives to develop and insert appropriate legal protections in contracts, as warranted
  • Identifies, negotiates, and executes procurement agreements
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation and customer service skills
  • Ability to address complex problems that often require extensive investigation and analysis
  • Willingness to work in a global team environment
  • Strong organizational skills to give the team direction
  • Professional presence suitable for interaction in meetings, in-person, or via email, as well as internal and external facing events
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to optimize financial and operational processes in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong ability to manage day-to-day operations while understand the long-term strategic impact

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
  • Strong IT background with understanding of Cloud and SaaS business models (ex. AWS, Salesforce, etc.)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of managerial experience
  • Experience in developing and executing multi-million-dollar contracts

Working Conditions:

  • Preference is for this role to be based out of our US Headquarters in Tampa, Florida with a Hybrid work schedule.
  • up to 15% travel may be required
