POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Practice Management is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the efficiency of clinic practices, setting metrics, guidelines, and standards to drive continuous improvement. This role involves staffing, education, coaching, and mentoring of clinic managers and staff, with a particular focus on quality assurance. The Director of Practice Management must exhibit strong organizational skills, as they are required to travel to various clinics and effectively communicate in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the position involves assessing and managing staffing levels, participating in recruitment, and contributing to the interview process. Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, conducting audits, and fostering a positive work environment through effective communication are key responsibilities. The Director of Practice Management will also play a vital role in enhancing patient service and satisfaction by implementing policy and procedure enhancements. Partnering with IT for equipment troubleshooting and repair coordination is essential. P&L ownership, financial analysis, and strategic leadership further contribute to the overall success of the clinic operations.

OBJECTIVES

  • Develop and implement metrics, guidelines, and standards to assess clinic practices, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency.
  • Oversee staffing, education, coaching, and mentorship of clinic managers and staff, balancing clinical responsibilities in quality assurance.
  • Travel to various clinics, demonstrating effective communication and organizational skills to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate closely with the Practice Director to update and uphold clinical policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate and maintain optimal staffing levels, addressing recruitment needs and actively participating in the interview and promotion processes.
  • Plan and manage clinic staffing, providing direct patient care as needed to support efficient clinic operations.
  • Ensure employees receive necessary compliance training and education, monitoring and taking action on performance issues.
  • Effectively communicate new directives, policies, or procedures to managers and conduct meetings with operations staff to address questions and maintain morale.
  • Enhance patient service and satisfaction through continuous policy and procedure improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations across all clinic locations.
  • Uphold compliance with corporate policies and procedures at all 10X Health locations.
  • Conduct regular audits of employee performance, inventory levels, patient care, and safety standards, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Take ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) for assigned clinics, managing budgetary considerations and financial performance.
  • Analyze financial data, identify areas for cost optimization, and implement strategies to enhance profitability while maintaining high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to develop and monitor budgetary goals, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate recurring leadership development conversations, coach team members through bi-weekly 1:1s, determine incentive payouts, and provide transformative performance feedback.


COMPETENCIES

  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and leadership skills to establish metrics, guidelines, and standards for evaluating clinic practices, driving operational efficiency and improvement.
  • Possess strong communication skills to convey new directives, policies, and procedures to managers, conduct meetings, and maintain positive morale within the operations staff.
  • Exhibit financial expertise with a focus on Profit and Loss (P&L) ownership, analyzing data, and implementing cost-effective strategies to enhance clinic profitability while maintaining high-quality patient care.
  • Navigate a fast-paced environment, showcasing high organizational skills and the ability to travel to various clinics while effectively managing staffing, education, coaching, and mentorship responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations across all clinic locations and maintaining adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for enhancing the patient's experience.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or related experience. Advanced degree (Master's/MBA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a managerial role within the healthcare industry, with a focus on clinic operations, staffing, P&L ownership and budgetary responsibilities.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk or computer
  • Travel required – 20%
