Director of Plant Scale-Up

Piper Maddox has been retained by an innovative business in the CleanTech industry for a crucial operations search.

This Operations and Deployment Specialist will Play a critical role in the commissioning and start-up of the companies first commercial plant overseas and subsequent plans globally. They will serve as a key operational link with external licensees to facilitate the adoption and implementation of the companies proprietary technologies. This business itself, a startup in the space has created a g roundbreaking technology to decarbonize the chemicals industry around the world.

Job Qualifications:

• This is a brand-new position, making the candidate the first member of this team. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations.
• Requires a self-driven individual who can effectively hit the ground running in a dynamic environment.
• Background in ethanol manufacturing is a plus.
• Extensive travel is required, with a schedule aiming for 2 weeks on-site and 2 weeks off.
• The role promises significant engagement across various functions, with potential leadership opportunities in the future.
• The role is pivotal to the global licensing and establishment of multiple new plants, aiming for the development of 10-15 plants in the future.

Key Role Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience in operations, preferably in chemical production, manufacturing, or related areas.
• Experience in the biofuels or ethanol industry is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and lead teams in a highly collaborative environment.
